I am a computational linguist with strong interest in learning (by humans and machines). Currently, I work at Seminar für Sprachwissenschaft, University of Tübingen.

Previously, I worked in the department of Information Science (Informatiekunde) at the University of Groningen after receiving my PhD in Computational Linguistics at the University Groningen.

Prior to my PhD, I studied Cognitive Science and Computer Engineering in Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey. In another life (that run in parallel at times), I worked as System/Network Administrator at RIPE NCC, METU Computer Center and TÜBİTAK.
